About Me

Terry_FHello and welcome to my site

My name is Terry Frank and I am the owner of the Kettlebells for Fitness site. I am active, work full time and use kettlebells to stay fit.

I became attracted to kettlebells as an exercise tool while researching the net. After following up on it with research, I found that it was a versatile tool that offered a number of advantages over free weights (barbells) and even weight machines or gym memberships. I now use them regularly and very much enjoy the workouts.

Here are some of the things I discovered about kettlebells as fitness tools:

Whole Body Exercise

Kettlebells engage the whole body and are aerobic at the same time. I like this because instead of building bulk, you tone your body so you look fit but not bulked up. Additionally, the aerobic part helps generate weight loss if that is an issue for you.

Additionally, the whole body nature of the kettlebell workout encourages a gradual development of the muscular structure without creating over emphasis on one particular area. I found that this over emphasis can lead to muscle pulls and other injuries from an unbalanced development. Done correctly this does not happen with kettlebell workouts.

Convenient Home Use

The kettlebell is portable. It can be done in a small space. You also don’t need a special storage area for your kettlebells. They can be placed under a bed, in a closet, in the corner out of the way etc. and don’t take up that much space.

If you have multiple bells that are getting in the way a storage rack doesn’t even take up that much room either. You certainly don’t need an isolated workout space for the kettle bell.

For each workout one bell, maybe two and at the most usually three can be enough for the whole workout. Grab your bells and in 2 minutes you are set up and ready to rumble as the boxing announcer puts it.

You can learn what you need to know at home. Purchase some good workout videos. Do some reading on the topic either on the net or through books easily located on Amazon. This can get and keep you up to speed in no time.

Pay careful attention to the instructors in the videos. Use some of the tips you will find on the site. If you are conscientious and can follow instructions intelligently, you will have no problem learning to use the kettlebells effectively.

If you do find the need for professional instruction, there are studios popping up that will serve to assist you with qualified instructors. With a little coaching on form you can get up to speed quickly. You may also find that all you need is a little coaching as well.

Time Saving Efficient Fitness Method That Works

You don’t need long or frequent workouts to get good benefits from kettlebells. Relatively short workouts of about 20 to 40 minutes 2 to 3 times a week can be enough to help you reach your fitness goals.

On the other hand if you are a fitness freak or driven kettlebells can provide all you need for your needs as well. You can purchase kettlebells that range anywhere from 2 or 5 lbs. all the way up over 100 lbs.

So if your goals are mad crazy fitness or competitions, you are not limited with a kettlebell workout routine or size. You can achieve some high level fitness (professional athletes use them now) if you want or just use them to shed pounds and stay trim and fit. The choice is yours with kettlebells.

Fun Not Work

Finally, kettlebells are fun! What kid didn’t like to swing things around? It meets the need of your inner child to swing a bell around and get fit as a bonus to boot. I always feel good after a workout, even a short one. They are never a burden and something to look forward to.

Additionally, I have found that the dynamic movement helps to relieve stress as well as you swing your blues away.

So nose around the site. I will be tweaking it over time to make it easier to use and will try to stay on top of it to make it more useful for the visitor. If you have any suggestions please feel free to contact me at support@kettlebells4fitness.com

Meanwhile, happy swinging.
