A nice feature of Jillian Michaels: Shred-It with Weights is that it only takes just 30 minutes to complete. A wide range of exercises are covered. There is also a tutorial about how to correctly use kettlebells without injuring yourself. This is a great product from a well known personal trainer who is respected all over the world. Expect to work and some reviewers are taken aback by the intensity of the program, so it may not be for the uninitiated beginner. Then again, no pain, no gain is the old axiom in the world of athletics. So, if you want to lose weight, expect to work for the progress. Jillian pulls no punches to help you get to where you need to be in this DVD. If you are motivated and feel you can keep up, this program may just be what the doctor ordered.

“I love this workout, it is a great combo of cardio and strength and gets your heart beating fast! In some reviews, there are people complaining that the workouts are not difficult enough… but I can assure you that if you are using a heavy enough kettlebell you will find them difficult indeed! Unless you are an absolute beginner to exercise I would start with a heavier weight than what Jillian recommends on the dvd ( She recommends three to eight pounds ). I have a 10 lb ketlebell and a 15 lb kettlebell. I use my 15 lb kettlebell for most of level one, with the exception of a few moves. I use mostly my 10 lb kettlebell for level two.”
